Strawberry Fields Forever

BLACK TEA | MODERATE CAFFEINE | FRUITY & BRIGHT

Strawberry season is short. This is the part of it you get to keep. Black tea with strawberry and lemon balm, the lemon balm giving it a citrus edge so the fruit stays bright rather than heavy. We stocked it because scooping it reminds us of summer, and judging by the faces, we are not alone in that.

Sold in 1 oz quantities. Makes 6-10 cups of tea.

Ingredients

black tea, lemon balm, strawberry, calendula, safflower, all natural flavor extracts

MAKE TEATIME YOUR me TIME

From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

The season we had in mind is the one where your hands come away stained and half the berries never make it home. Summer slows down for a while, and then it is gone. This is what we keep on the shelf for the rest of the year. If it puts you in a strawberry mood, Strawberry Basil White Tea is the lighter version with a fresh herbal turn, and Teatime in Paris is the fruitier black tea to try next.

  • How to brew it hot

1 teaspoon per 8 oz, 212°F, steep 3 to 5 minutes. Black tea needs the full boil.

  • How to make iced tea

2 teaspoons per 8 oz, same water and steep time, then pour over a full glass of ice. Double strength so the ice doesn't dilute it.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 8 to 12 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

  2. Prepare the Glass: Fill a tall glass to the top with ice.
  3. Pour the Lemonade: Fill the glass halfway with the lemonade.
  4. Layer the Tea: To create the professional layered effect, hold a spoon upside down over the glass and slowly pour the chilled Strawberry Fields tea over the back of the spoon. It will settle beautifully on top of the lemonade.
