Best Tea Store in Southern California — 2026

BusinessRate named Tea & Turmeric the best tea store in Southern California for 2026, the second consecutive year the shop has won the award. What began as two sisters sharing what they learned in their grandmother's kitchen now includes loose-leaf blends, workshops, cooking classes, and The Tea on Wellness podcast, which recently ranked in the top 25% of new podcasts.

Best Tea Store in Greater Los Angeles — 2025

The 2025 award recognized Tea & Turmeric for customer satisfaction across the five-county Greater Los Angeles region, a metropolitan area of 18.6 million people. The recognition was based entirely on verified Google and Yelp reviews rather than votes or nominations.

"This award belongs to our customers as much as to us," said co-founder Vidya Reddy.

Westways magazine feature on Laguna Beach's HIP District including Tea & Turmeric, Summer 2024

Westways featured Tea & Turmeric as one of four not-to-miss stops in Laguna Beach's seven-block HIP District — Historic and Interesting Places — the neighborhood marked by the statue of Eiler Larsen, Laguna's official greeter from the 1940s through the early '70s. The magazine highlighted the shop's spice blends, rubs, more than 150 loose-leaf teas, the in-house Indian Made Easy spice line, and its classes and events.

Orange Coast Magazine feature on Tea & Turmeric's Pink Detox Masala Chai, August 2022

Orange Coast's Colette Nguyen profiled the shop for the magazine's Made in OC feature, spotlighting the signature Pink Detox Masala Chai. The piece noted that products are made in-house from traditional family recipes, and that sisters Kavita and Vidya Reddy opened the Laguna Beach shop in November 2021.
