Put Coarse Pepper To Work
Peppery Steak Stir-Fry
Serves 4
Butcher's Cut black pepper worked into the marinade and again into the wok, so the heat and aroma build in layers over flank steak and crisp-tender peppers.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon Tea & Turmeric Butcher's Cut Black Pepper, divided
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

- 1 cup onion, sliced
- 1 tablespoon neutral cooking oil
- Cooked rice or noodles, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the beef with the soy sauce and 1/2 tablespoon (1 1/2 teaspoons) of the black pepper. Marinate for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the beef and stir-fry until browned, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the onion and bell peppers. Sprinkle in the remaining 1/2 tablespoon (1 1/2 teaspoons) of black pepper and stir-fry until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
