What We tell customers about Ground Turmeric

We tell our customers that turmeric is the spice that makes a dish look and taste finished. A pinch turns rice, soups, curries, and roasted vegetables warm and golden, bringing a gentle earthiness that rounds everything out. Because a little goes a long way, it adds depth without ever becoming overpowering.

Most people don’t realize how much flavor they have been missing. If your current jar has been in the cabinet for a year, ours will remind you what turmeric is actually supposed to taste like.

If you're looking for turmeric for health rather than as a spice to cook with, we'd steer you to our Therapeutic Turmeric which has a high curcumin level due to its heirloom seed.

  • What to use it on

Stir it into curries, soups, stews, rice, or lentils for warmth and rich golden color.

Add a pinch to scrambled eggs or roasted potatoes for subtle earthy flavor.

Rub it onto chicken, seafood, tofu, or vegetables before roasting alongside cumin and coriander.

Blend it into smoothies or fresh juices for golden color and a gentle earthy note.

Whisk it into warm milk with honey for a comforting cup of homemade golden milk.

  • How the pros use it

Turmeric stains fast, so measure it over the sink or a small bowl instead of straight over the pot. If you're making golden milk or turmeric tea, add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper and a little healthy fat, such as ghee, coconut milk, or olive oil. They round out the flavor and make for a richer, more balanced drink.

  • What to pair it with

    Ground Coriander

Together they create the earthy, citrusy foundation found in curries, lentils, soups, rice dishes, and roasted vegetables.

    Ground Cumin

Together they form one of the world's classic spice combinations, bringing warmth, depth, and rich aroma to curries, roasted vegetables, soups, beans, and spice rubs.
