HERBAL TEA | CAFFEINE FREE | CITRUS & SPICE

Every year has a first properly cold evening, and this is the tea for it. The cardamom and cloves give it warmth, and the orange comes through bright and clear, so the cup lands spiced and elegant at once. It is deep red, just like the holiday season it kicks off. Everyone will smell it from the next room.

Sold in 1 oz quantities. Each oz makes 6 to 10 cups of tea.

Ingredients

orange, hibiscus, rosehips, cardamom, cloves, all natural flavors

From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

Every fall and winter, we recommend this one for homemade spiced apple cider and mulled wine about as often as we brew it in a teapot. It goes out the door fast once the weather turns, and at the holidays we can hardly keep up. People come in for tea and leave planning a pot of something else, then come back for a second bag once they figure out the mulling tick. Come in and smell it first. That part we can only do in Laguna Beach.

  • How to brew it hot

1 teaspoon per 8 oz, 212°F, steep 5 to 10 minutes. Herbal blends need the full boil and a long steep.

  • How to make iced tea

2 teaspoons per 8 oz, same water and steep time, then pour over a full glass of ice. Double strength so the ice doesn't dilute it.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 10 to 14 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!
