Lavender Moon Herbal Tea

$8.00

HERBAL TEA | CAFFEINE FREE | BREWS BLUE

This one is for the lavender people, and they know who they are. The lavender runs from the first sip all the way through the finish, over a fruity base with a lemony edge to it. It steeps a beautiful blue from the butterfly pea flower. If lavender isn't your flower, this isn't your tea, and we'll happily point you at something else on the shelf.

Sold in 1 oz quantities. Makes 6-10 cups of tea.

Ingredients

lemongrass, lavender, butterfly pea flower, chamomile, rosehips, marigold, mango, all natural flavor extracts

Tales from Our Laguna Beach Shop About This Tea

We made Lavender Moon as a seasonal tea for Dry January and expected it to disappear once winter was over. Our customers had other plans. We sold out for nearly three months, and the calls came almost daily asking when it would be back, so it has a permanent spot on the shelf now. It isn't a sleep tea, but there is enough lavender in it that some customers tell us it puts them right out. We call it lavender forward for a reason.

  • How to brew it hot

1 teaspoon per 8 oz, 212°F, steep 5 to 10 minutes. Herbal blends need the full boil and a long steep.

  • How to make iced tea

2 teaspoons per 8 oz, same water and steep time, then pour over a full glass of ice. Double strength so the ice doesn't dilute it.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 10 to 14 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

Beyond the Cup: Make Something Tasty with This Lavender Tea

Purple Moonrise Mocktail

Serves 1

A color-changing evening mocktail — a deep blue Lavender Moon tea concentrate that shifts to soft purple with a splash of lemon sparkling water.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Lavender Moon Herbal Tea
  • 4 ounces boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or agave (optional)
  • ¼ cup finely chopped crisp apple
  • Ice cubes
  • 4 ounces lemon sparkling water

Instructions

  1. Steep the Lavender Moon tea in the boiling water for 7 minutes to create a concentrated, deep blue infusion. Strain the tea and stir in your sweetener if you are using it.
  2. Place the chopped apple at the bottom of a glass and fill the glass with ice.
  3. Pour the cooled blue tea concentrate over the ice and apple.
  4. Top the glass with the lemon sparkling water. Watch as the acidity from the lemon reacts with the butterfly pea flower, causing the drink to shift from a deep twilight blue to a soft, magical purple.
  5. Stir gently and enjoy your peaceful evening ritual.
