Unlock the Full Benefit of this Tea

This is a daily tonic, not a quick fix. Most women need several weeks of consistent use before they get a real read on how it is helping. Give it that time.

Here's what we tell people in the store. Steep you first cup in the morning per instructions and save the leaves. Re-steep the leaves for your afternoon cup, but let them steep for a full 10-15 minutes this time. The roots in this blend, ashwagandha, guggul, arjuna, are dense and need longer contact with hot water to release what they carry. Your morning cup is a gentle start. Your afternoon cup is where the deeper work happens.

This blend contains a small amount of green tea, so it carries trace caffeine. If you are sensitive to caffeine, keep your second cup to earlier in the afternoon rather than the evening.

Cycle it as you would any tonic: three to four weeks on, then one week off. This keeps your body responsive.

As with any wellness routine, if you are currently taking any medications, please share our ingredient list with your doctor or pharmacist to ensure this blend is a safe fit for you.

  • Why does this tea work?

Red clover: this is the workhorse. It is full of plant compounds called isoflavones that gently mimic estrogen, and it is the herb most commonly reached for to take the edge off hot flashes and night sweats.

Shatavari: the Ayurvedic women's herb, used for a very long time to support the body through hormonal change. It is a big part of what makes this blend Ayurvedic rather than just another menopause tea.

St. John's wort: this one is here for mood. It has a long track record for low mood and the emotional ups and downs that come with the change.

Ashwagandha: an adaptogen that helps the body handle stress, and one people lean on for the wired, frazzled feeling and for sleep that gets choppy during menopause.

Brahmi: a calming Ayurvedic herb for a busy mind and for focus when brain fog sets in.

Arjuna: a heart-supporting herb in Ayurveda, often included in women's blends for overall balance through this stage of life.

Guggul: a traditional Ayurvedic resin used to support healthy metabolism, thyroid function, and lipid balance, areas that can shift during menopause.

Ginkgo biloba: long used for memory and mental sharpness, which speaks to the foggy-headed days.

Vetiver root: a cooling root in Ayurveda, a nice fit for a tea aimed at hot flashes and night sweats.

Spearmint: cooling and bright, it carries the flavor and makes the earthier herbs easy to drink every day.

Raspberry leaf: a traditional uterine tonic, long used to tone and support the reproductive system through hormonal transitions.

Blue corn petals: in for color and a soft floral note.

Green tea: we add a literal pinch of green tea leaves to energize all the other ingredients, so that's why this tea has a trace amount of caffeine.

These statements are based on traditional herbal use and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

  • Is this the right one for me?

If your main trouble is hot flashes and night sweats, and you want one daily tea that also helps with mood and brain fog, this is the blend built for this whole picture. The red clover and shatavari are doing the hormonal work while the ashwagandha and brahmi handle the frazzle, so you are not buying three separate teas to cover three symptoms.

If your symptoms are really just one thing, say only the hot flashes and nothing else, a simpler single-herb red clover tea may be all you need, and it will cost you less. This blend makes the most sense when the change is hitting you from several directions at once.

This blend contains St. John's wort and red clover, so if you are on any prescription medication or have a hormone-sensitive condition, it may not be the right one for you regardless of your symptoms. Check with your doctor first.

  • Who should skip this one?

Not recommended if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition or are on medications without checking with your healthcare provider first.

This blend contains St. John's wort, which is known to interfere with a lot of prescription medications, including antidepressants, birth control, blood thinners and others. If you take any prescription medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before drinking this one, this is not a minor interaction.

It also contains red clover, which acts like estrogen in the body. That means it can make birth control pills less effective, and anyone with a hormone-sensitive condition should check with their doctor before drinking it.

If you have a surgery scheduled, stop drinking this blend at least two weeks before your procedure and let your surgical team know what herbs you have been taking.

What Customers Ask Us About This Tea

For a lot of women, yes, and this is the blend they keep coming back to. Our Ayurvedic Menopause Tea is built around red clover, which is the herb most often turned to for hot flashes and night sweats, and shatavari, the classic Ayurvedic herb for supporting women through hormonal shifts. It is not a switch you flip. It is a daily habit that works gradually as the herbs get to work.

This blend is built for daily use, but it has two herbs worth knowing about before you start. St. John's wort interferes with a long list of prescription medications, including antidepressants, birth control and blood thinners, and red clover acts like estrogen in the body. If you are on any medication or have a hormone-sensitive condition, check with your doctor or pharmacist before drinking this one. If you are not, it is a gentle tea built for everyday use.

No, and we would not want you to think of it that way. HRT is a medical treatment and this is a supportive herbal tea. Plenty of women drink it alongside HRT, acupuncture, or other changes they are making during menopause, but it is not a substitute for HRT or for a conversation with your doctor. Think of it as daily support, not a replacement for medical care.

Be patient with this one. Herbal support for menopause tends to work gradually, and most people give it a few weeks of daily drinking before they can really tell. Symptoms fluctuate because your hormones are fluctuating, so the honest answer is to watch the pattern over time rather than judging it on one rough night or one good day.
