From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

When kids or parents come into the shop and tell us they like tea, this is one of the first blends we naturally show them. It’s herbal and naturally caffeine-free, with sweet orange and pineapple that make it an easy tea for younger tea drinkers to enjoy. Purple Papaya Punch Tea and Organic Berry Berry are two other caffeine-free herbal teas that kids love just as much.

  • How to brew it hot

Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of boiling water. Steep 5 to 10 minutes. Hibiscus and rosehips need the longer steep to release their full tartness and color, and since this is a caffeine-free herbal blend, there's no bitterness risk from steeping it longer.

  • How to make iced tea

Use 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of boiling water. Steep 5 to 10 minutes and pour over a full glass of ice. The extra leaf covers what the ice waters down.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 6 to 8 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

Tropical Herbal Tea Fruit Salad

Serves 4

Fresh pineapple, kiwi, mango, and strawberries tossed in a honey-sweetened Tropical Herbal Tea infusion — a bright, refreshing fruit salad.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Tea & Turmeric Tropical Herbal Tea Organic
  • 2 cups freshly boiled water
  • 2 tbsp honey, or to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 mango, diced
  • 1 cup strawberries, halved
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Steep the Tropical Herbal Tea in the freshly boiled water for 10 minutes. Strain and stir in the honey until dissolved. Let the tea cool completely, then stir in the lime juice.
  2. Place the pineapple, kiwi, mango, and strawberries in a large bowl. Pour about half of the cooled tea over the fruit and gently toss to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the fruit to absorb the flavors.
  4. Before serving, spoon a little of the remaining tea over each portion and garnish with fresh mint, if desired.
