Organic Grapefruit Rose Green Tea

$7.00

GREEN TEA | LOW CAFFEINE | ORGANIC | GRAPEFRUIT & ROSE

If you love citrus but will not give up your green tea for it, this is the one. The grapefruit is unmistakable, and the rose lifts both sides of the cup at once, the citrus and the green, which is what keeps either from winning. That balance is what people come back for.

Sold in 1 oz quantities. Makes 6-10 cups of tea.

Ingredients

organic sencha tea, organic rosehips, organic rose, organic cornflower, organic raspberry pieces, all natural flavors

From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

This one is a slow burn. People do not reach for it the way they reach for Mango Peach Green Tea, but the ones who finally try it almost always come back. We have watched it build a quiet following over the years. When those customers ask what else we would suggest, Pomegranate Lemon Organic Black Tea is where we go next, for the same bright citrus with something floral behind it.

  • How to brew it hot

Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of water at 175 to 180 degrees. Steep 2 to 3 minutes. Lower water temperature keeps green tea from turning bitter.

  • How to make iced tea

Use 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of water at 175 to 180 degrees. Steep 2 to 3 minutes and pour over a full glass of ice. The extra leaf covers what the ice waters down.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 3 to 6 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

Beyond the Cup: Make Something Tasty with This Grapefruit Rose Green Tea

Citrusy Rosy Vinaigrette

Makes about 2 cups of dressing

Organic Grapefruit Rose Green Tea slowly infuses white balsamic vinegar, then blends with chia, honey, and tahini into a bright, emulsified vinaigrette.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup white balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Organic Grapefruit Rose Green Tea
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 orange, zested
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp local raw honey
  • 4 tsp raw tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1.5 cups EVOO

Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar and grapefruit tea in a sealed glass jar and let steep at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours.
  2. Once steeped, strain the tea-infused vinegar mixture into a clean jar.
  3. Combine the tea-vinegar mixture and remaining ingredients (except EVOO) into a blender and blend until the chia seeds start to break down.
  4. With the blender on its lowest speed, slowly add the olive oil in a steady stream to emulsify the vinaigrette.
  5. Adjust the amount of water to make the dressing thinner or thicker to your liking. Enjoy!
