BLACK TEA | CAFFEINE | CINNAMON, ORANGE & PUMPKIN

Pumpkin spice shows up everywhere come fall, but this one starts with a real black tea base. Cinnamon, orange, and hibiscus bring the classic spice notes, while apple and rosehip give it a warm, spiced-cider character. The black tea adds enough body to enjoy it on its own or with a splash of milk.

Sold in 1 oz quantities. Makes 6-10 cups of tea.

Ingredients

black tea, apple, orange, rosehip, hibiscus, cinnamon, calendula, marigold, sunflower petals, pumpkin, all natural flavors

From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

Every September 1st, a mother and daughter named Mary and Annie walk into the shop asking for their fall fix, before pumpkin spice shows up anywhere else in town. We’ve come to expect them almost exactly on the day, and their visit is how we know fall has officially arrived.

For a caffeine-free fall option, Chai Decaf brings its own warm spice. And if pumpkin isn’t your thing, Butterscotch Black Tea is a cozy, dessert-like black tea with a rich, sweet finish.

  • How to brew it hot

Use 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of boiling water. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. Black tea can handle full boiling water without turning bitter, and a full steep is what pulls the malty backbone out from under all that spice.

  • How to make iced tea

Use 2 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of boiling water. Steep 3 to 5 minutes and pour over a full glass of ice. The extra leaf covers what the ice waters down.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 6 to 8 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

"Skip the Line" Pumpkin Spice Latte

Serves 1

Brewed Pumpkin Spice Black Tea meets pumpkin puree and warm milk for a cozy latte you can make at home, hot or iced.

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Pumpkin Spice Black Tea
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
  • 1-2 tsp organic jaggery (to taste)
  • 1/2-1 tsp Organic Pumpkin Spice Mix
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil, add Pumpkin Spice Black Tea, and steep for 4-5 minutes. Strain and set aside.
  2. Warm the latte base. In a small saucepan, whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, jaggery, and Pumpkin Spice Mix. Heat gently until steaming, but don't boil.
  3. Combine. Stir the brewed Pumpkin Spice Black Tea into the pumpkin-milk mixture. Taste and adjust sweetness.
  4. Froth (optional). Use a frother or whisk to create a light foam.
  5. Serve. Pour into a mug, top with whipped cream, and sprinkle with extra Pumpkin Spice Mix.
  6. To make it iced, brew a stronger cup of Pumpkin Spice Black Tea, let it cool, then follow the same steps with cold milk and ice.
