From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

When someone wants high caffeine but finds Runner's High too intense or too spiced, this is the next one we show them. No spice, no roasted edge. Pu-erh and black tea doing the heavy lifting, orange peel keeping it bright. Bold and smooth and easy to drink black.

If Morning Oomph is your daily cup, Runner's High is the next level up. And if you want something lighter and more approachable alongside it, Honey Bee Tea is the one to try next.

  • How to brew it hot

1 teaspoon per 8 oz, 212°F, steep 3 to 5 minutes. Black tea needs the full boil.

  • How to make iced tea

2 teaspoons per 8 oz, same water and steep time, then pour over a full glass of ice. Double strength so the ice doesn't dilute it.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 8 to 12 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

Morning Oomph Tea-Infused Granola

Makes 5 cups

A crunchy, golden granola with finely ground Morning Oomph tea baked right into every bite, finished with dried cranberries.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup raw walnuts or pecans, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Morning Oomph tea leaves, ground into a very fine powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins (to complement the orange peel in the tea)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 300°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, stir together the oats, chopped nuts, coconut, and the finely ground Morning Oomph tea powder.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and sea salt.
  4. Toss: Pour the liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and toss thoroughly until everything is evenly coated and the tea powder has distributed throughout the mixture.
  5. Bake: Spread the granola in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the granola is golden and fragrant.
  6. Cool: Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet. It will crisp up as it cools. Once cooled, stir in the dried cranberries or raisins.
  7. Store: Keep in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
