Rosehip & Chamomile Facial Toner
Makes about 2 cups
A gentle, botanical toner made from a slow rosehip infusion, optionally softened with cooled chamomile tea — a soothing addition to your skincare routine.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Tea & Turmeric Whole Rosehips, lightly crushed
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup cooled Tea & Turmeric Chamomile Tea (optional)
Instructions
- Lightly crush the rosehips using a mortar and pestle or the back of a heavy spoon.
- In a small saucepan, combine the crushed rosehips and water. Bring to a gentle simmer over low heat and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat, cover, and let steep for 20 minutes.
- Strain through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth or an unbleached coffee filter to remove any fine particles.
- For an extra-soothing toner, stir in an equal amount of cooled chamomile tea.
- Pour into a clean glass bottle or spray bottle and refrigerate immediately.
- To use, apply the toner to clean skin with a cotton pad or lightly mist onto the face. Allow it to air dry before applying your favorite serum or moisturizer.
