Turmeric Shot Herbal

HERBAL TEA | CAFFEINE FREE | FRUITY & PEPPERY

Most turmeric blends are built on roots, and this one is built on fruit. Apple gives it a soft, juicy base, and the turmeric sits bright on top of that. It comes up orange in the glass, which is where the name came from. There's black pepper in it too, not for heat, but because turmeric needs it to absorb.

Sold in 1 oz quantities. Makes 6-10 cups of tea.

Ingredients

apple, orange, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, rosehips, black peppercorn, mango, all natural flavors

— tea & turmeric

From Our Laguna Beach Tea Shop

The beauty of this tea in our jars on the shelf catches people, and then the smell finishes the job. After that we give them the advice that surprises almost everyone: put the tea straight into the cup, let it sit ten to fifteen minutes, drink it, and then eat the fruit left at the bottom. It's one of our favorite conversations to have at the counter.

This is another one of our turmeric teas that's for people who want to enjoy a nice cup of tea that also happens to help with inflammation. If eating the fruit isn't for you, Golden Citrus Ginger and organic Soothing Turmeric are the same idea in a conventional cup, one built on ginger and citrus, the other on rooibos.

Turmeric has been in our name from the start, and the rest of what we do with it is in our Turmeric Teas collection.

  • How to brew it hot

1 teaspoon per 8 oz, 212°F, steep 5 to 10 minutes. Herbal blends need the full boil and a long steep.

  • How to make iced tea

2 teaspoons per 8 oz, same water and steep time, then pour over a full glass of ice. Double strength so the ice doesn't dilute it.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 10 to 14 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

Beyond the Cup: Make Something Tasty with This Turmeric Shot Tea

Turmeric Shot Mango Smoothie Bowl

Serves 1

A creamy, spoonable smoothie bowl blending frozen mango and banana with our Turmeric Shot Herbal blend for a warming, gently spiced boost.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Turmeric Shot Herbal Tea Blend
  • 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • ½ fresh banana
  • ½ cup unsweetened Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
  • ¼ cup coconut water or orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon hemp seeds or chia seeds, for topping

Instructions

  1. Place the Turmeric Shot Herbal blend into a high speed blender. Pulse for 30 seconds to break down the larger pieces like the apple, mango, and rosehips into a fine, flavorful dust.
  2. Add the frozen mango, banana, yogurt, and coconut water to the blender with the tea dust.
  3. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy. The black pepper and turmeric in the blend will provide a gentle, warming spice that pairs perfectly with the sweet mango.
  4. Pour the mixture into a bowl.
  5. Top with hemp or chia seeds for a bit of crunch. Enjoy immediately with a spoon to get all the benefits of the ingredients.
