You know that feeling of being a little off? Stiff knees before your feet hit the floor in the morning. Energy that disappears by 2 or 3pm. Recovery from a weekend hike that takes way longer than it used to. Joints that ache after sitting in traffic on the 405.
Most people chalk it up to getting older or being tired. But a lot of the time, what is actually going on underneath all of that is chronic inflammation.
This kind of low-grade inflammation often builds quietly over time before people realize what is happening.
Paul's Story
Paul walked into our Laguna Beach shop one afternoon while visiting from Minnesota. He came in with a cane, looking tired. After a long conversation and some guidance, he left with our Inflammation Fighter Tea and Therapeutic Turmeric. About a month later, online orders started coming in from a small Minnesota town and we could not figure out why. Then someone from his church called us. They told us Paul had stood up at a Sunday service and shared that he was using his cane less and less. That is what this work is all about. Not transactions. Helping people feel better in ways that ripple out.
Inflammation is not the enemy. It is actually your body's repair crew, showing up to protect you when something is wrong. The problem is when it becomes low-grade and constant, shifting from protective to destructive. When that happens, you feel it everywhere, in your joints, your energy, your digestion, your sleep, and your mood.
The good news is that small, consistent changes make a real difference. That is what this guide is about.

What Is Chronic Inflammation and Why Does It Matter
Chronic, low-grade inflammation is now widely recognized as a contributing factor behind many of the most common health concerns people face today, including joint discomfort, fatigue, and digestive issues.
Think of it like having a handful of thumbtacks on your chair. You can sit down, but it is never quite comfortable. The goal is not to push through the discomfort. The goal is to pull out the tacks one by one.
That is exactly what this protocol does. Blood sugar stability, stress management, deep sleep, proper hydration, and the right herbal support all work together to create the conditions your body needs to find its natural balance again.
According to Harvard Health Publishing, chronic low-grade inflammation is linked to many of today's most common health concerns. The Cleveland Clinic notes that lifestyle factors including diet, sleep, and stress management play a significant role in supporting a healthy inflammatory response.
Acute vs Chronic Inflammation
Not all inflammation is bad. Acute inflammation is your body's short-term repair response. It shows up after an injury, intense workout, or infection, and then settles once healing is complete. This type of inflammation is protective and necessary.
Chronic inflammation is different. It is low-grade and ongoing, often driven by stress, blood sugar swings, poor sleep, processed foods, and environmental factors. Instead of helping, it keeps the body in a constant state of irritation. Over time, this can show up as joint stiffness, fatigue, sluggish recovery, and general discomfort.
The goal of this guide is not to eliminate inflammation entirely, but to support a balanced, healthy inflammatory response.
The Herbal Ingredients in Inflammation Fighter Tea
Our Inflammation Fighter Tea is a proprietary 10-herb blend, certified organic and ethically sourced. Each ingredient was chosen for its long history of use in Ayurvedic and traditional herbal medicine for supporting joint comfort and a healthy inflammation response.
Tulsi / Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum) is one of the most sacred herbs in Ayurveda. It is an adaptogen, meaning it helps the body adapt to physical and emotional stress while supporting overall balance. Since stress is one of the biggest drivers of chronic inflammation, tulsi is foundational to this blend.
Devil's Claw Root (Harpagophytum procumbens) is a traditional African herb with a long history of use for supporting joint comfort and comfortable movement. It is one of the most well-studied herbs in traditional medicine for joint wellness.
Turmeric Root (Curcuma longa) contains curcumin, which has been extensively studied for its role in supporting a healthy inflammation response and joint comfort. It is a cornerstone of Ayurvedic wellness and works best when paired with black pepper for absorption. More on that below.
Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale) is a warming herb traditionally used to support circulation, comfortable digestion, and ease muscle soreness. It also supports joint mobility and overall comfort during physical activity.
Burdock Root is a traditional herb historically used to support the body's natural elimination processes and promote internal balance.
Dandelion Root supports healthy liver function and bile flow, and is rich in minerals that support overall wellness.
Licorice Root is a traditional soothing herb that supports digestive comfort and helps harmonize the other herbs in the blend.
The blend also includes cinnamon for blood sugar support, orange peel for vitamin C and flavor, and peppermint leaf for digestive comfort and a cooling balance.
The Turmeric Secret Most People Miss
Here is something we tell every customer who comes into our Laguna Beach shop. Most grocery store turmeric is not doing what you think it is doing.
Standard turmeric contains a relatively low percentage of curcumin, not enough to provide the kind of support your joints are looking for. But even high-quality turmeric will not work well if you are not taking it the right way.
Curcumin needs three things to be properly absorbed by your body. It needs black pepper, a healthy fat like ghee or coconut milk, and heat. Without those three things, most of the curcumin passes right through you.
Our Therapeutic Turmeric is sourced from a small regenerative family farm in Northeast India where it is grown from heirloom seeds, harvested by hand, and dried slowly in the sun. The difference in color, smell, and potency is noticeable the moment you open the bag.
Half a teaspoon a day, in your morning tea or warm milk, with a crack of black pepper and a little ghee or coconut milk. That is it. Simple, steady, and effective.
How to Brew Inflammation Fighter Tea and the 3-Tea Daily Ritual
Use one to two teaspoons per eight ounces of near-boiling water (200 to 212 degrees F). Steep five to seven minutes covered to keep the essential oils intact. Strain well before drinking. You can add raw honey after brewing if desired.
For the best results, we recommend what we call the 3-Tea Ritual.
Morning (9 to 10am, after breakfast):
One cup of Inflammation Fighter Tea with your protein breakfast. This sets a supportive tone for the day. Pair it with oatmeal and berries, eggs, or anything with good protein and healthy fat.
Afternoon (2 to 3pm):
One cup of Inflammation Fighter Tea between meals. This is the window when energy naturally dips and joints tend to feel their tightest and achiest. The tea provides gentle support without any caffeine crash. A handful of walnuts or a small piece of dark chocolate alongside it works beautifully.
Evening (after dinner):
One cup of Soothing Turmeric Tea. Caffeine-free, deeply comforting, and rich in polyphenols that support the body's natural balance. It signals to your nervous system that the day is done. Optional: add coconut milk or ghee for better turmeric absorption.
During an active support period, aim for two to three cups daily for four to eight weeks. For maintenance after that, three to four times weekly keeps the support going.
Lifestyle Practices That Make the Biggest Difference
Celtic salt hydration.
Add a small pinch of Celtic sea salt to each liter of filtered water. Many people in Southern California are drinking plenty of water but still feel dehydrated because plain water can move through the body quickly without being fully absorbed at the cellular level. The minerals in Celtic salt support better hydration. It is a tiny change that a lot of our customers say they notice within just a few days.
Gentle movement
You do not need intense workouts. Walking after dinner, gentle yoga, stretching, swimming, or light hiking are all wonderful. Physical movement supports the lymphatic system, which plays an important role in the body's natural clearing processes. Consistent, gentle movement is more effective than occasional intense exercise when it comes to supporting long-term joint comfort.
Deep sleep
Aim for seven to nine hours, ideally in bed by 10pm. The brain's natural clearing processes are most active during deep sleep, which is one reason that poor sleep is so closely connected to elevated discomfort and stiffness. A dark room, cool temperature, screens off an hour before bed, and your evening Soothing Turmeric Tea as a wind-down ritual all support better sleep quality.
Stress management
Chronic stress keeps cortisol elevated and the immune system on high alert. Your nervous system does not distinguish between a frustrating commute, constant phone scrolling, and an actual physical threat. It responds the same way to all of them. Slow deep breathing, time in nature, beach walks, and even just a quiet moment before bed with your evening tea are all small resets that tell your body it is safe. When the nervous system softens, the body's inflammatory response softens too.
Weekly supportive practices
Epsom salt baths twice a week support magnesium absorption. Dry brushing before your shower supports lymphatic circulation. Sauna when available is wonderful. Gentle self-massage of joints rounds out a supportive weekly routine.
When to Seek Professional Support
Please contact a healthcare provider if you experience severe or persistent joint pain, swelling that does not improve, pain that limits your daily activities, or symptoms that worsen significantly. This guide provides wellness and educational information only. Healing is a journey, and sometimes it requires professional medical support alongside natural approaches.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does natural inflammation support work?
Traditional herbs like turmeric, ginger, tulsi, and devil's claw have been used for centuries to support joint comfort and a healthy inflammation response. Combined with blood sugar stability, stress management, and supportive foods, these herbs help create the conditions where your body's natural healing processes can work most effectively. Small, consistent changes build on each other over time.
How long should I follow this protocol?
Most people notice shifts in joint comfort and energy within two to four weeks. We recommend a gentle four to eight week support period for meaningful changes, then continuing at a maintenance level. Listen to your body and adjust as needed.
Is this safe if I am on medication?
Please consult your healthcare provider before beginning any wellness program, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking blood thinners, have gallbladder conditions, or take medications that may be affected by turmeric. Devil's claw should not be used during pregnancy.
What does Inflammation Fighter Tea taste like?
It is earthy and warming with a slight natural bitterness from the roots, brightened by the orange peel and cooled by the peppermint. Many customers add a small amount of raw honey after brewing.
