Tales from Our Laguna Beach Shop About This Tea

After more than 25 years of teaching meditation, we wanted a tea that carried the same intention we brought to every class, which was making it easier to slow down and be present. This blend grew out of that. It's also become one people buy as a gift (partly for the name and partly because the ingredients are beautiful in the pouch) for someone going through something who could use some peace. It's the same reminder we gave students for 25 years.

  • How to brew it hot

1 teaspoon per 8 oz, 212°F, steep 5 to 10 minutes. Herbal blends need the full boil and a long steep.

  • How to make iced tea

2 teaspoons per 8 oz, same water and steep time, then pour over a full glass of ice. Double strength so the ice doesn't dilute it.

  • How to cold brew

Use 1.5 teaspoons of loose leaf tea per 8 ounces of filtered water.
Steep in your fridge for 10 to 14 hours.
Strain out the leaves and enjoy!

Beyond the Cup: Make Something Tasty with This Floral Meditation Tea

Eternal Om Moonlight Infusion

Serves 1

A grounding evening ritual — bruised Eternal Om tea with star anise and fresh spearmint, steeped slowly to draw out its floral, licorice-warm aroma.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Eternal Om Organic Meditation Tea
  • 10 ounces filtered water
  • 1 small piece of star anise
  • 1 fresh sprig of spearmint
  • ½ teaspoon raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Awaken the botanicals: in a mortar and pestle, gently bruise the Eternal Om tea leaves, just enough to break the rose petals and release the oils from the spearmint. Add the star anise and crush it lightly so its warm, licorice-like aroma joins the tea.
  2. Infuse: place the bruised mixture and the fresh spearmint sprig into your brewing vessel.
  3. Steep: pour your 212°F water over the botanicals. Cover immediately to trap the floral steam — this is crucial for keeping the lavender and chamomile fragrance in your cup rather than letting it evaporate.
  4. Wait: let it steep for 7 to 10 minutes. This allows the cassia and the Brahmi to fully integrate their grounding qualities.
  5. Serve: strain into a warmed mug. Stir in the honey if you choose.
