    Use one teaspoon of root per eight ounces of water at 212 degrees, simmered on the stovetop for ten to fifteen minutes.

    If you have a thyroid condition or take thyroid medication, speak with your doctor first. Ashwagandha can affect thyroid hormone levels and interact with both hypo and hyperthyroid medications in ways that matter clinically.

    Use caution with sedative medications including prescription sleep aids and anti-anxiety medication, as ashwagandha can enhance their effects.

    Not appropriate for people on immunosuppressants.

    Do not use during pregnancy.
